COMMUNITY QUESTION: Kidney infections with lupus?

Kara asks: 'Anyone get kidney infections all the time, what do you do?'

  • I do. That's one of the ways the dr decided to check for lupus and other autoimmune diseases. At first I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. After that I had a kidney biopsy but it revealed that I have another autoimmune disorder layman terms as thin skin membrane disease which isn't life threatening but my kidneys don't filter as well which is why I have so many infections. I'm not sure if I helped but wish you well
