Wondering if anyone would know the answer to this question.

In November, 1978, I was scheduled for a C-Section, however they discovered that my blood count was too low and had to give me two units of blood. I've always suspected that that's where I contracted Lupus. Does anyone know if that is possible? I have read articles that they don't give blood transfusions like they used to because they are finding patients do better without them and have found some negative results???

The blood donors are screened prior to donation so it's unlikely you got Lupus from that. Also it has a hereditary link and I don't know who in my family had it.
